Chesterfield County Fire and EMS has developed a COVID vaccination POD that has efficiently and effectively vaccinated all first responders within Chesterfield County, Virginia. Administering the COVID vaccine comes with significant logistical obstacles that were overcome through substantial planning and coordination. At the conclusion of the first responder vaccination campaign, the number of COVID related absences saw a noted reduction. From that, we can conclude the effort made the work environment safer to do the ever-demanding job of being a first responder.
