Due to the limited number of recorded documents that were available online in Hall County, Nebraska Register of Deeds office developed a concise plan to digitize all archived deed records and related materials through the Enhanced Electronic Archive Search Index. The project began in January 2011. Due to budgetary constraints, it was decided that the work would have to be done in-house to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. The project has resulted in over 100,000 archived documents being made available online, enhancing the records search capability, and improving the daily administration of the records retention program. Feedback on the new system has been overwhelmingly positive from constituents and business professionals alike.
