In December, 2015, the Montgomery County, Maryland Department of Technology Services (DTS) deployed a new, employee Intranet. The new Intranet, which leverages Microsoft SharePoint technology, serves as a central information hub for the Countyâs 10,000+ employees and officials within the Countyâs 40+ operating Departments and Offices. The new Intranet provides streamlined access to employee information and services to enhance communication and collaboration across the Enterprise. The new Intranet platform is part of the Countyâs move to providing Enterprise services on the Microsoft Office 365 system. Employees logon to the new Intranet using their preexisting County Office 365 userid and passwords.
