In December, 2015, the Montgomery County, Maryland Department of Technology Services (DTS) deployed a new, employee Intranet. The new Intranet, which leverages Microsoft SharePoint technology, serves as a central information hub for the County’s 10,000+ employees and officials within the County’s 40+ operating Departments and Offices. The new Intranet provides streamlined access to employee information and services to enhance communication and collaboration across the Enterprise. The new Intranet platform is part of the County’s move to providing Enterprise services on the Microsoft Office 365 system. Employees logon to the new Intranet using their preexisting County Office 365 userid and passwords.
