San Bernardino County, Department of Public Health (DPH), Division of Environmental Health Services (EHS) is dedicated to ensuring public health and safety for all residents within the County’s 20,000 square miles. The year 2020 was full of public health challenges for San Bernardino County, including fires, floods and infectious disease outbreaks. A Hepatitis A (HEP A) outbreak and the COVID-19 pandemic were the two public health challenges that prompted EHS to develop and expand the Education and Engagement Indicator (EEI). The EEI is comprised of mobile applications, ArcGIS software and a web based live dashboard that work together to make mass data collection, performance management and information sharing among community partners quick, easy, and invaluable.
