The Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) accepts paper check payments for waste fees (full residential service, commercial service, and additional carts).The DSWM Accounting Division have been using since the 1990s a vendor Windows-native application called Cashier for Windows (C4W) for processing paper check payments, which was an appropriate solution by then, but in the last few years it has been causing multiple hardware and software issues.It was then when the DSWM Accounting Division decided to move on and requested to our group ITD SW Application Support to create a new solution that would replace C4W. This led to the implementation of the in-house web application Electronic Check Processor (ECPro).
