The Mobile Driveway Dance Party was designed to be a socially distanced driveway dance party, created for the community, to help with the mental stress of being in quarantine. Picture a van rigged with a sound system, a DJ playing songs with hype dancers boogying in the streets, encouraging the neighbors to dance along in their driveways, porches, and through windows. The community fully embraced the program with requests maxing out at over 100+ in just a few hours, twice. The Mobile Dance Party garnered national and international media coverage including recognition by the Harvard Ash Center's Government Innovators Network. Clark County Parks & Recreation was able to provide a program enjoyed by people of all ages and walks of life that uplifted spirits, boosted the message of CDC guidelines, and truly made it feel like we were “In It Together""!
