About the Program

Category: Health (Best in Category)

Year: 2017

The Board of County Commissioners Living Well Onsite Wellness Clinic (LWOWC) is a unique clinic for county government’s because it offers free medical care to its employees and their eligible dependents. The mission of Camden County’s Living Well Clinic is to promote balance between medicine and wellness by empowering our workforce to achieve and maintain a healthier lifestyle. The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System was put into place to improve the continuity of medical care given by the Living Well Onsite Wellness Clinic, along with other providers that also give care to common patients. While EMR’s are not new to the health care industry, our Living Well Onsite Clinic is unique in itself to county governments and their employees. LWOWC has also collaborated and contracted with other local municipalities to offer the same services to their employees and dependents. Adding an EMR system improves and enhances those services that we currently provide, as well as any services added to the scope of practice in the future.
