In early 2013, the Orange County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office Crime Analysis Unit and the IMS Solutions Delivery Unit partnered to develop a new data analysis tool now called Criminal Research and Investigative Gathering (CRAIG). This application is powered by Google Search Appliance. We now have the ability to track and capture criminals faster and more efficiently than ever before, by running a simple Google search. This application has changed the way traditional law-enforcement crime analysis is conducted. It has significantly enhanced crime analysts’ ability to assists law-enforcement personnel by providing a more effective search engine and tracking mechanism.
