CHIP (Correctional Health Improvement Program) is a leading edge, quality improvement program designed to expand the capacity for patient centered, system wide improvement across multiple CHS facilities. The goal of CHIP is to develop effective leaders in quality improvement who are both willing and able to champion improvement strategies in their areas. In order to accomplish these goals, training classes are offered that compliment adult learners and are comprised of lectures and multiple interactive sessions. The curriculum utilized for this program prepares multidisciplinary health care professionals to initiate quality improvement projects. The CHIP program provides the tools and support to facilitate improved quality of care initiatives for one of our most vulnerable, incarcerated populations in Los Angeles County.
