Many different Miami-Dade services and applications existed without the ability to integrate Identity Management with the County’s main Public Communication asset, miamidade.gov. Many of the Portal’s relevant award-winning services were often overlooked by users of Miami-Dade County’s different online systems. Additionally, Miami-Dade County was not able to maintain a cohesive and uniform online image for their users. In 2009, increasing the reach of the County Portal was a strategic priority. The Constituent Identity Solution required a seamless identity acquisition, transformation, formatting, and population from many of these different systems to transparently provide Portal Registration Services to the user. The resulting identity integration services provided the solution in a highly flexible and extensible Enterprise Solution.
