Often, information can be effectively and easily delivered via the internet. San Diego County, in an effort to reach out to citizens online, has created Caregiving Clips, a series of online videos. Caregiving Clips are online workshops featuring regional experts on topics of interest to family caregivers. The live webinars allow interactive participation and are recorded for later review. They are approximately half hour in length and scheduled during the lunch hour, as a “lunch and learn” concept. The workshop calendar is promoted both within the County email system and in the community through Human Resource Departments, digital social media, and general interest media. The online workshops recognize the information-access problems faced by family caregivers, especially those still in the workforce. A very successful program, it can be duplicated in any county.
