Year: 2017

The Bringing Mental Health to Main Street campaign was established to educate the Summit County, Ohio community about the very important subject of mental health and wellness. Nearly one in every five people, or 42.5 million American adults, has a diagnosable mental health condition.1 Half of all lifetime cases of mental disorders begin by age 14.2 Many people who have mental health issues do not recognize the symptoms or will not ask for help. The Bringing Mental Health to Main Street purpose was to begin to remove the stigma attached to mental illness and offer education and assistance to our friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members who are suffering emotionally.
