Building community in a rapidly growing and diversifying county is a challenge best met by creating a sense of place. Gwinnett County (GA) chose to do that by celebrating its bicentennial throughout 2018. One aspect of the celebration is a traveling exhibit of 10 freestanding, two-sided panels with photos and text showing what life was like in Gwinnett County over the past 200 years. As it travels around the 437 square-mile county this year, it is putting both past and present in perspective as it prepares us all for the county’s third century.
