2018 Annual Conference: Evidence-Based Decision Making for County Leaders

Evidence-based policymaking uses the best available research to expand investments in cost-effective programs by focusing resources on proven programs, which can strengthen accountability of county-funded programs and services, more efficiently use taxpayer resources and ultimately improve outcomes for individuals and communities. This workshop will include an overview of a new report from the Pew Charitable Trusts on evidence-based policymaking at the local level and highlight several counties that are using evidence-based decision making in selecting programs and policies.
