Hadi Sedigh is NACo’s Chief Innovation Officer. In this capacity, he leads NACo’s County Innovations Lab, which carries out the organization’s foundation-supported initiatives, research projects and data analytics efforts. Hadi also helps to lead NACo’s engagement with urban counties, staffing the organization’s Large Urban County Caucus (LUCC) and its networks of appointed and elected urban county executives. Previously, he served as Managing Director of NACo’s former Counties Futures Lab and as Associate Legislative Director for Justice & Public Safety. Hadi also served as liaison to NACo’s Immigration Reform Task Force and National City-County Task Force on the Opioid Epidemic, and co-authored “A Prescription for Action,” a joint report on the opioid epidemic published jointly by NACo and the National League of Cities.
Before joining NACo, Hadi worked as a Legislative Fellow in the Office of Congresswoman Yvette Clarke (N.Y.) and as a Law Clerk in the Office of House Employment Counsel in the U.S. House of Representatives. Hadi holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, a B.A. from Hunter College of the City University of New York and is an active member of the New York State Bar.
