Alejandra is the Associate Program Director for Resilient Economies and Communities. In her role, Alejandra will be responsible for the execution of a new grant on county leadership in advancing economic opportunity. Alejandra will also be working to develop and grow our resilient economies and communities portfolio and NACo’s thought leadership in this space. She has a diverse background in policy, grassroots advocacy and campaigning, and program management and deep content expertise in technology, workforce development and racial equity with experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.
Immediately prior to joining NACo, she worked as a Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and before that she was the Program Manager for the Innovation and Opportunity program at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies. She is a native of New Mexico and is eager to support the counties of her home state.
