    County Engineer

    Finney County, the original Wild West is located in the Southwest corner of Kansas. With it's amber waves of grain, breathtaking sunsets and a booming local economy, Finney County is a great place to settle in and raise a family! The County Engineer manages and functions in accordance with state statutes and generally accepted engineering practices.

    The County Engineer manages operations and budgeting for Road and Bridge, Noxious Weed, sewer utility, and other capital projects. The position oversees approximately 30 employees and is responsible for planning and budgeting for capital improvement projects and the design and maintenance of Finney County roads. The Engineer will collaborate with Finney County Economic Development to expand business opportunities in Finney County. This position is full-time, benefit-earning and works under the general supervision of the County Administrator. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a four-year college or university and three to five years related experience and/or training. PE licensor and prior experience in construction and maintenance of roads and bridges for the safety of the traveling public.
