    Clermont, Florida, (44,000 population) is the largest city in Lake County located at the intersections of Highway 27 and State Road 50 and within 30 minutes from Orlando and its theme parks and International Airport. The picturesque city sits among rolling hills and lakes and is known as the “Choice of Champions” due to its international reputation as a training ground for Olympic medalists and other elite athletes. Clermont is recognized as an epicenter for health, wellness, and fitness with a thriving healthcare cluster with world-class orthopedics, cancer treatment, and robotic urologic services treating patients from across the nation. The city operates under a Council-Manager form of government with a governing body comprised of five members.The City Manager serves as the organization’s CEO and the head of the administrative branch of the municipal organization.

    Clermont seeks a confident and dynamic City Manager with a high level of emotional intelligence that possesses highly advanced interpersonal skills and a proactive, transparent, and collaborative management style. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. The incoming City Manager should have 10 years of progressively responsible related experience in local government including but not limited to public administration and senior management. Experience in Florida public sector, budget, finance, and growth management are highly desired. An equivalent combination of higher education and experience may be considered, provided that the education and experience are in a relevant and related field.
