The Western Interstate Region (WIR) is dedicated to the promotion of Western interests within NACo. Its membership consists of fifteen Western states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah and Washington). WIR Members will learn about public lands and rural development priorities for the 117th Congress and the Biden administration, new disaster prevention and mitigation programs, and regulatory issues important to western counties.
