In partnership with The Solar Foundation, NACo recently announced the launch of the SolSmart program, made possible through the U.S. Department of Energy’s SunShot Initiative. The SolSmart program aims to reduce solar barriers, such as ‘soft costs’ and ‘red tape’ and is designed to nationally recognize more than 300 communities that have taken steps to make it easier for businesses and residents to go solar. Communities pursuing designation will also be eligible from no-cost technical assistance from a team of solar experts.
This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the SolSmart program, detailing the designation process, the technical assistance available, the benefits of county participation and how to apply. Webinar participants are also encouraged to be interactive, as ample time will be made available for Q&A following the presentation.
