Luncheon Roundtable: Two-Generation Approach to Combating Multigenerational Poverty in our Nation’s Counties
With over 15 million children in the United States living below the poverty line, counties across the country face challenges in providing services to families in both urban and rural communities. Successful policies and programs focus on a two-generation approach, which address the cycle of poverty caused by disparities in access to employment, health care, education and housing. During this session, attendees will be introduced to the two-generation approach and learn how counties are integrating this concept within current human services, health and workforce programs and policies at the local level. Lunch will be provided.
