Justice Grants to Address County Residents with Mental Illness and Co-occurring Disorders

A growing body of evidence is confirming that focused treatment and reentry initiatives and cross-system collaboration are producing better public health and public safety outcomes for people with mental illnesses and co-occurring substance abuse disorders who have been in contact with the criminal justice system.

But these initiatives aren't all funded with one grant program. In fact, the Bureau of Justice Assistance has a range of programs focused on adults and young people at all phases of justice system interaction.

We'll also discuss justice and mental health research resources, examples of successful grant-funded programs, and tips for making your proposal more competitive.
