Learning from and partnering with individuals and communities that have been impacted by the criminal justice system is a critical part of enhancing county justice systems. Meaningful community engagement can improve confidence in the justice system, lead to more effective programs and policies and result in improved outcomes for individuals and the system. Attendees will learn from an expert from the Center on Court Innovation and representatives from Pima County, Ariz., and Multnomah County, Ore., on their efforts to improve community engagement.
