The COVID-19 pandemic shed a light on the digital divide as connectivity disparities limited local solutions to addressing the public health crisis. While the significant role of technology was underscored by the coronavirus, local governments must not only look for opportunities to leverage technology to address the immediate needs of the COVID economy, but also mitigate future challenges. This session will look at the technological challenges and opportunities to addressing primary education, workforce training and retaining a talented local government workforce, transitioning economies and telehealth services.
