As criminal justice reform efforts gather momentum in Congress, NACo will host a briefing on Capitol Hill to highlight the instrumental role of counties in America’s criminal justice system. Counties across the country are building innovative systems and developing unique partnerships to lower rates of incarceration and recidivism in local communities, and to reduce the number of individuals with mental health disorders in jails.
