Many of the populations served by county departments are connected to multiple systems, including county-supported health, human services and justice systems, and there is a growing need to better align resources and coordinate services and supports. Automated data sharing and integration is one way to connect systems and share information across systems, but jurisdictions must implement effective data governance to ensure information is collected, used and protected appropriately. In this workshop, learn from a national expert and two counties on how to establish policies and practices to safely and effectively share data across systems and, in the process, achieve system efficiencies.
