2020 WIR Conference
The safety and wellbeing of conference participants is our top priority. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and after much thoughtful discussion, the WIR Executive Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the WIR conference.
If you registered for the conference, your registration fee will be refunded automatically – no further action is required. If you made a hotel reservation, Tenaya Lodge will automatically refund housing deposits as well, but please be patient as they work through hundreds of reservations.
We had an excellent program in the works and hope to provide this important content to you in the future. Details on future programming will be released as soon as they are available. In the coming weeks, NACo will announce plans for a digital alternative to the NACo Board of Directors meeting that typically takes place in conjunction with the WIR conference.
In the meantime, please visit NACo.org/coronavirus to access the latest COVID-19 resources on NACo’s federal policy advocacy, county responses and other information we hope will be useful during this unprecedented public health emergency.

About WIR
The NACo Western Interstate Region (WIR) Conference brings together county officials from across the nation to focus on pressing issues facing counties and our residents. Each year the conference is hosted by a county within the fifteen Western states—Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawai'i, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming—and provides attendees with the opportunity to interact with federal, state and regional policymakers, participate in educational sessions and take home tools to address challenges.
