NACo is hosting the Annual Payments In-Lieu of Taxes (PILT) Fly-In, September 10 to 12, 2019 in Washington, DC. This is your opportunity to meet with elected and appointed federal officials to advocate on behalf of county payment programs, such as PILT and Secure Rural Schools (SRS). NACo staff help to arrange meetings with key bipartisan leaders and committee members in both houses of Congress and the administration to spread the message of these important programs for county governments.

As part of the 2019 PILT Fly-In, NACo is hosting a briefing on Capitol Hill to share the importance of the PILT program with Members of Congress and their staffs.

WHEN: September 10 – 12, 2019.
WHERE: Washington, DC. Meetings will be conducted at the NACo offices, located at 660 N Capitol St., NW, Suite 400, various offices on Capitol Hill and federal agency offices.
HOTEL: PILT Fly-In participants funded by the Public Lands Trust Fund will have reservations at the Washington Court Hotel. County officials who are self-funded are free to stay at the hotel of their choice.
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS: We ask that all participants make their own travel arrangements. In order to ensure your full participation in the advocacy efforts, please plan on arriving in Washington, DC no later than the evening of September 10, 2019 and departing no earlier than September 12, 2019 after 12:00 p.m.
