General Duties: The County Administrator is responsible for the administration of all County Board ordinances, regulations, resolutions, and policies and for the administration and direction of all programs and functions of government under the jurisdiction of the Board of Commissioners. Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Political Science, Law, or related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred. Must have extensive, progressively responsible public or private sector administrative experience that demonstrates knowledge of government operations including the legislative process, tax structure, governmental relationships, and funding mechanisms. At least six years of this experience must have been at the management level and involved directing staff, programs, and significant budgets.
