If your county has used the National Association of Counties’ U.S. Communities purchasing program to save taxpayer money and enhance the safety, health or overall well-being of your citizens, we want to know!

Interested in spreading the word about U.S. Communities and winning some fantastic prizes? If you are planning to attend NACo’s Legislative Conference (February 25 – March 1 in Washington, D.C.), come prepared to speak briefly on camera about the savings your county has achieved through the U.S. Communities cooperative purchasing program. Filming will occur ON SITE at the conference and participants will only be required to speak for 2 minutes or so.


1. Register for NACo’s Legislative Conference here.

2. At the conference, look for the U.S. Communities filming station located near the membership booth at the hotel. Filming will occur throughout the entirety of the conference and shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes for individual participants.

3. Speak briefly on camera about how your county has used U.S. Communities to achieve savings through cooperative purchasing. We suggest you come prepared with examples of how you utilized one or more specific suppliers, additional benefits of the program, and/or feedback on how we can make the program easier to use.

4. Participants will receive a numbered ticket at the time of filming. This will be an official entry for a drawing to take place at the end of the conference after filming ends. Only those who are filmed will be eligible for a ticket.

​The winner will be recognized in front of their local elected officials and awarded the Solutions for Savings National Leadership Award plaque for permanent display in their county offices, as well as $1,000. Press releases to your local media will showcase the national recognition of how hard your county government is working to do more with less for its citizens. Share your purchasing success story to help other counties learn from your creativity and gain the national recognition your county deserves!


Entrant must be employed by or be an elected official of a NACo member county who has used U.S. Communities as of the date of entry. By being filmed, all participants agree to allow NACo to use their submission to educate and benefit counties and NACo programs. NACo reserves the right to decline to accept any entry that contains profanity or otherwise diminishes the ideals of NACo and county governments in any way.
