NACo has released a comprehensive analysis of the president’s FY 2019 Budget Request and its potential impact on programs important to the nation’s counties. The budget process now moves to Capitol Hill, where lawmakers have already agreed to and passed spending caps for FY 2019. Congressional appropriators are working on a final spending package for FY 2018 (expected to be completed in March), and will then turn to FY 2019 appropriations.
NACo will continue working with Congress and the administration to advocate for key county priorities in the annual appropriations process.
