The 2019 Western Interstate Region (WIR) Conference is fast approaching. In less than one month, Spokane County will serve as host for this wonderful event. On behalf of the Spokane County Board of Commissioners, we invite you to join us May 15–17.

We are honored to be hosting such a transformative event in our region. I am personally looking forward to the conversations about the triumphs and challenges that other counties from across the West are facing. This time together is invaluable for our counties and helps us do a better job for our constituents. These few days we will spend together will be filled with workshops, field trips, amazing speakers and more.

May is my favorite time of year in the Inland Northwest and Spokane County is the place to be. With our newly redesigned Riverfront Park, lively downtown, mixture of urban chic and accessible opportunities to experience a wide array of natural wonders, it’s no wonder Spokane was recently named one of Trip Advisor’s seven “Rising U.S. Cities” and a top-tier bucket list destination for 2019. There truly is something for everyone. You might even consider extending your stay in Spokane County and enjoying more of what the region has to offer.

Thank you and I look forward to meeting you in May.
