Valerie Brankovic

Legislative Assistant

Valerie joined NACo in 2017 and serves as a Legislative Assistant. She assists with legislative research, writing and federal advocacy on health, human services and economic and workforce development issues. Prior to joining NACo, Valerie completed a Fulbright Research Grant and Fulbright Critical Language Enhancement Award in China, where she conducted qualitative research on economic development. She also interned with Congresswoman Lois Frankel's office, as well as the Champaign County, Ill. Office of the Public Defender. Valerie graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in Political Science.
