Josef Burkart

Health Associate

Josef Burkart is a Health Program Associate at the National Association of Counties on the County Solutions and Innovations team. He supports efforts aimed at educating, assisting and highlighting the work county officials do to build healthier counties. He is responsible for writing and editing blog articles and program materials, conducting health research and providing program support for the Health team at NACo.

Previously Josef worked at Healthcare Ready, where he was a Program Analysis working on emergency preparedness, resilience and response. Josef holds a Bachelor of Arts from Heidelberg University and studied at Stellenbosch University, American University (School of Professional & Extended Studies) and Heidelberg University, Germany. He part-time bartends on Saturdays at a local Belgium bar in D.C.
