NACo 2013 Roadmaps to Health Forum

Sharing a Vision and Commitment to Improve County Health
Madison Concourse Hotel
1 West Dayton Street
Dane County (Madison), Wisconsin
Review slides, information and resources from the NACo 2013 Roadmaps to Health Forum in Dane County (Madison), WI. Individuals gathered for a one and a half day health-focused forum to explore opportunities to build, enhance, and sustain positive health outcomes in counties across the country.
Using the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program as a resource, the forum:
  • Examined opportunities to build, enhance and sustain a diverse multi-sector team of partners to work collaboratively to implement strategies that result in a healthy systems change;
  • Assessed potential measures and additional sources of data (e.g. local, state, or national) that will help your county address questions about the community needs;
  • Identified tools and resources to detect your county’s assets, needs & gaps, to help your county prioritize efforts; and
  • Explored evidence-informed policies and programs to address county needs.
The forum was offered as part of NACo’s collaboration with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation on the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program, which provides counties with information and insight about how to develop effective local programs and policies that can improve overall county health. The project services as a hub of information and resources for counties on community health improvement.  To learn more about NACo's partnership on the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps, please visit NACo's Improving County Health webpage.
