Healthy Counties Innovation Council
About the Council
Counties play a critical role in building and sustaining healthy communities where our residents live, learn, work and play. As the health safety net, county agencies employ a wide range of health services that protect resident health and well-being through the prevention and treatment of illness, injury and other adverse health outcomes. NACo’s Healthy Counties Innovation Council elevates national trends and county innovations in promoting and protecting the health and well-being of America’s residents; in addition, the Council advises NACo on the organization’s health programming.
NACo’s Healthy Counties Innovation Council typically hosts in-person educational content and peer networking activities at NACo Annual and Legislative conferences to amplify priority health challenges and innovations among conference participants. Additional virtual and in-person programming is guided by the Council’s appointed leadership in partnership with NACo’s Healthy Counties sponsors and thought partners. Council members receive targeted invitations to in-person and virtual events, educational content and more.
