The month of May marks the 24th
anniversary of American Wetlands Month to acknowledge the importance of wetlands to our country’s economic,
social and environmental health. To celebrate, the
Five Star and Urban Waters program partners will host, "Wetlands Restoration and
Stewardship," a webinar dedicated to environmental restoration
techniques local communities are applying to improve water quality, reduce flooding
and protect critical habitats through wetland restoration and protection. The
webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13th from 2-3pm ET.

the first in a series of one-hour online educational webinars in 2014 and 2015
to engage local communities in sharing effective stewardship and restoration
practices. The "Cultivating
Community Conservation: Techniques, Engagement and Education" webinar series
will build local environmental expertise by focusing on topics related to:
techniques and best practices,
and community engagement approaches, and
