Dr. Natalie Ortiz manages NACo's Data-Driven Justice (DDJ) programming. In this role, she primarily focuses on developing educational content on the use of data and analytics across health, human services and justice systems to improve individual and system outcomes. She was previously a Senior Research Analyst at NACo.
Prior to joining NACo, Natalie was at Arizona State University, where she earned a Ph.D. in criminology and criminal justice and served as the research manager for a three-year, federally-funded study on the employment prospects of previously incarcerated men and women. She has worked with a number of state and local criminal justice agencies, providing evaluation and consultant services.
