Jim Talen

Jim Talen recently retired after serving 20 years as a Kent County Commissioner. He was a long-time member of the local Community Mental Health Board and Community Corrections Advisory Board. He also spent five years as the data administrator for the Grand Rapids Area Coalition to End Homelessness. Jim was one of two commissioners who represented counties on the Michigan Joint Task Force on Jail and Pretrial Incarceration.
