Hadi Sedigh is NACo’s Associate Legislative Director for Justice & Public Safety. In this capacity, he works with county officials from across the nation to set NACo’s policies on matters related to criminal justice and emergency management and advocates for these policies at the federal level. Additionally, Hadi serves as the liaison to NACo’s Immigration Reform Task Force and National City-County Task Force on the Opioid Epidemic and assists these bodies in advising NACo’s policy committees on issues related to immigration and substance abuse, respectively.
Before joining NACo, Hadi worked as a Legislative Fellow in the Office of Congresswoman Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.) and as a Law Clerk in the Office of House Employment Counsel in the U.S. House of Representatives. Hadi holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, a B.A. from Hunter College of the City University of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar.
