About Dr. Bonnie Brueshoff

Dr. Bonnie Brueshoff is the Director for the Dakota County Public Health Department located in West St. Paul, Minnesota. She has been in this position for the past 9 years. In her current role, Brueshoff manages and provides leadership for the Public Health Department, including 100 staff and a budget of $10 million.  She has been working in Public Health at Dakota County for 27 years, previous positions held were Deputy Public Health Director and Public Health Supervisor.  Her expertise has been sought out at the national, state and regional levels. Currently she is serving as Chair of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Profile workgroup and is Chair-elect for the Minnesota Local Public Health Association. She has been on numerous state workgroups over the years with her current involvement on the State Public Health Emergency Preparedness workgroup. She is a graduate of the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellows Program and the NACCHO Survive and Thrive Fellowship Program.  She received her Bachelors in Nursing at Gustavus Adolphus College, Masters in Nursing at the U of MN, and Doctorate in Nursing Practice at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing.
