Join thousands of county officials and staff around the country in timely, practical education in one or more of the many topics on NACo’s agenda.  Webinars in the “Members Only Education” are available exclusively to NACo members.  Other topics are provided by NACo in partnership with governmental and corporate organizations in the interest of all county governments. 

These webinars are supported by Citrix GoToMeeting/GoToWebinar software.  To participate you’ll need  Windows® 7, Vista, XP or 2003 Server for PC-based attendees or Mac OS® X 10.4.11 (Tiger®) or newer for Macintosh®-based attendees.

 When you join the webinar, you’ll hear the presentation live by your choice of either phone or computer, and you’ll see the presentation on your computer screen. If you choose computer for you audio preference, please ensure that your speakers are connected to your computer.

Through the Affordable Care Act many uninsured, low-income individuals—some of whom will be involved in the criminal justice system—will become eligible for Medicaid and subsidized private health plans in 2014.  Learn about the possible opportunities for individuals being held pretrial in county jails to gain health coverage, issues counties may face enrolling people in custody into appropriate plans and the potential fiscal relief this may offer counties.
