​EPA Seeks Nominations to National Drinking Water Advisory Council – County Officials Needed

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) seeks nominations for a three year appointment to its National Drinking Water Advisory Council (Council).  The Council was established to give recommendations to the EPA Administrator on Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) policies.  The Council meets in person once a year and may hold video and/or teleconference call during the year. 

There are currently five vacancies on the Council, the terms run through December 15, 2016. Two individuals will be selected from the nominees to represent state and local water hygiene and public water supplies and three individuals from private groups who have an interest in public water supply and water hygiene.  Nominations are due by December 20, 2013.  For more information, click here.
