HUD Releases FY 2012 Continuum of Care Program NOFA
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs has released the FY 2012 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program's Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). The CoC Program is designed to promote a community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness by funding efforts by nonprofit providers, states, and local governments to quickly re-house homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused to individuals, families, and communities by homelessness. HUD is making available $1.61 billion for the program.

The deadline for submitting applications to HUD is January 18, 2013. Applicants will be required to complete and submit their applications in e-snaps at www.hud.gov/esnaps. HUD strongly encourages all applicants, and other interested stakeholders to read the CoC Program Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) in its entirety. Visit the FY2012 CoC Competition Training and Resources page to access HUD Guidance, training modules, FAQs, and listserv messages regarding the competition.
