Stepping Up County Justice Peer Exchange: Maricopa County, Ariz.

Join the National Association of Counties and your peers for a one-and-a-half-day peer exchange on county behavioral health and criminal justice issues, hosted in Maricopa County, Ariz. This event will bring together county leaders from across the country to visit Maricopa County and learn about its efforts to reduce the number of people with mental illnesses in the jail by impacting the four key measures of the national Stepping Up initiative. Participants will also engage in discussions about how to implement change in their own counties. Please see the draft agenda below.

Travel

NACo will reimburse attendees for airfare (up to $600 roundtrip) and ground transportation and will cover up to two nights at the meeting hotel. Please do not book any travel arrangements until you receive an email from NACo approving you for the peer exchange. A registration confirmation email does not guarantee your approval for the event.

Space is limited and registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one individual from each county may attend the peer exchange and priority will go to county elected officials. Registration is now closed for this event. Selected attendees will be notified by October 16. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list, please email Olivia Nedd at onedd@naco.org.
