E-Commerce Commission ends with a digital divide The Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce met March 20 and 21 in Dallas, Texas and failed to make a recommendation on how sales taxes should be collected on remote Internet sales. The commission was unable to get the required super majority (13 of 19 votes) on any of the major proposals presented. “It is unfortunate that the commission failed to reach agreement on such an important issue to consumers and tax payers,” said NACo President C.
