Legislative conference takes aim at Internet The politics of the Internet dominate this year’s Legislative Conference, which opened Sunday, March 5. Dubbed “Seizing the Initiative: Counties in the New Century,” the conference features addresses by U.S. Secretary of Commerce William Daley, Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R) and U.S. Trade Ambassador Charlene Barshefsky.
