Clinton’s FY2001 budget
Fiscal blueprint is a wash for counties

President Clinton released his FY2001 budget on Feb. 7 – the last of his presidency. As expected, the administration proposed numerous policy initiatives in the budget and used these initiatives to put pressure on the Republican-led Congress to address some key administration concerns. The NACo legislative staff has reviewed the budget and below are some of the highlights.
