The Utility Manager is a newly created position which reports directly to the County Administrator. The County is seeking a registered engineer to coordinate the capital improvement program for the countys water and wastewater systems and serve as the contract administrator and manager for the county-owned/contractor-operated water and wastewater system.
Requires: Experience in wastewater reclamation and administration of a governmental capital improvement program is required; a bachelors degree in a related engineering field (Masters degree preferred) and a Georgia professional engineers license (or ability to obtain licensure within six months). At least ten years progressively responsible experience in the operation, design and construction of ground water and wastewater systems is required. Must be able to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Strong supervisory and managerial skills and the ability to deal professionally with citizens, elected officials and staff are required. A valid drivers license is required and Georgia water and wastewater operators license is desired.
Compensation: Current salary range is approximately $45,000 to $68,000 with beginning salary negotiable DOQs; an excellent fringe benefit package which includes a low-cost health and prescription drug card plan.
