DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION, PORT EVERGLADES – FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.: $56,701 – $92,990DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This is highly responsible professional management work in directing a wide range of administrative functions and programs for Port Everglades, a major multi-purpose seaport handling cruise, container and petroleum activities. The Port is business oriented and is financially self-supporting with annual operating revenues in excess of $65 million. The Director is responsible for the administration of a division of which provides generalized administrative services, including management, marketing, and administration of the Port real estate, property management, and parking facilities programs, as well as providing regulation of certain business activities through management of the franchises and business permit program; and the administration of contracts to ensure that the tenants, concessionaires, and various contractual suppliers of the Port comply with acceptable business practices of the seaport. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in business or public administration or related field and eight (8) years progressively responsible experience in public administration, which must have included four (4) years high level supervisory and administrative experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
SPECIAL INFORMATION: Experience in administrative functions and programs at a major seaport is desirable. All training and experience must be clearly documented in the resume.
